Requirement Summary


The EMEA Region has difficulty seeing their top line Year to Date figures which looks at Royalties for both Shipped and Open Orders. This report will provide a view at four different levels which will enable NEC to deliver Royalty information which is a business requirement.

Functional Requirement


1. To create or modify one single BI Report which displays order values / revenue for the following:
i. Royalties.
ii. Shipped Orders.
iii. Open Orders

2. The information needs to be displayed on a monthly basis, showing all calendar months for the current year.

3. The report also needs to display:
i. A running total of Royalties for Shipped Orders.
ii. A running total of Royalties for Open Orders.
iii. A running total of Shipped Orders at each level of the report.
iv. A running total of Open Orders at each level of the report.
v. A Combined Total of Shipped Orders and Open Orders at each level of the report.
Note: The report does not need to show Volumes, only Revenue.

4. The report needs to work at 4 levels:
i. Regional
ii. License
iii. Country
iv. Sales Rep

5. The report needs to be able to display the revenue figures in both USD, EUR and GBP.

Requirement have to completed using the SAP BEx queries and Excel files for currency conversion.

Solution Details


This report is going to be designed using SAP BEx queries to fetch current year revenue, Last year revenue, current year open value, Region, Country, Sales Rep and Customer values using the following formulas:
1. Calculating total (current year revenue + current year open).
2. Calculating variance between total and last year revenue.
3. Calculating royalty variance between current year and last year.
4. Calculating coverage percentage on total and Last year revenue.
5. Using currency conversion files.
